Aunt Pin and Uncle Angel
HISTORY OF THE BUILDING AND HOME

The building, dating back to the late 800’s, was bought in 1908 by a ship owner of Genoa who felt in love with a Sicilian lady and decided to start a family.

His son Angelino married our aunt Giuseppina dearly called “zia Pin” who lived in the house until the end of the 70’s with my grandmother.

The ancient Olympia theatre belonged to the palace and was one of the first cinemas in the town. The cinema has been recently bought out by McDonald where you can admire the wonderful Liberty stucco.
